2023-2024 School Year Social Worker Contract Job Available

Blazerworks, in partnership with the school district, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in Blue Island, IL. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of students and their families. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group counseling.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify social, emotional, and environmental factors impacting students' well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop intervention plans and support systems.
• Assist in the implementation of behavior intervention plans and crisis management strategies.
• Advocate for students' needs and connect them with appropriate community resources and services.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between school and home to address students' social and emotional concerns.
• Provide guidance and support to students in developing social skills and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address the needs of students with special circumstances.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services provided.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Social Worker in Illinois.
• Previous experience working as a Social Worker in an educational or community setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of social work principles, theories, and interventions.
• Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of community resources and services.
