23/24 Part-Time K-12 Orientation & Mobility Specialist (OMS) in Forest City, NC
There is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity available in Forest Lake, NC for an experienced and licensed Orientation & Mobility Specialist (OMS) to work with K-12 students for the 2023-2024 school year.
The hired OMS will be providing in-classroom support to visually impaired students; conducting mobility and orientation assessments to determine extent of services required, while also collaborating with other staff to ensure that the student has the support needed to properly maneuver through their environment at school and beyond.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree. Master's Degree preferred
- A valid NC OMS State License
- At least 5 years of experience
Shifts/Schedule: Part-time, approx. 10-25 hours per week minimum. Mon-Fri, normal school hours only
