Adaptive Learning and Occupational Therapy Coordinator (Springfield, MA)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment Advocate: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth, developing tailored intervention plans that align with individual needs.
- Therapy Trailblazer: Implement creative and engaging occupational therapy interventions to enhance students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Collaborative Coach: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment, sharing insights and strategies that foster student success.
- Skill Builder: Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote independence, self-regulation, and social skills, helping students navigate their school environment with confidence.
- Inclusive Innovator: Develop and adapt classroom strategies and tools to ensure all students have access to learning, collaborating with educators to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Progress Monitor: Regularly evaluate and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Health Educator: Provide workshops and resources for staff and families on occupational therapy techniques and support strategies, promoting awareness of students’ diverse needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid state licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience: Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy preferred, with a strong understanding of developmental milestones and disabilities.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapy techniques, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
