Adaptive Physical Education Role Available
Blazer Jobs is hiring an Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher for an itinerant position serving early childhood centers (ages 3-5 years) in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role focuses on adapting physical education activities to meet the unique needs of young students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized physical education programs.
- Adapt physical activities to accommodate students with diverse abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote student success.
- Monitor and document student progress in accordance with IEP goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Certification in Adapted Physical Education preferred.
- Minimum of one year of school-based experience.
