Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced BCBA to join our team in Santa Rosa, CA. This full-time, school-based position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students with special needs, fostering their growth and success in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify behavioral challenges and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to effectively implement and monitor BIPs.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and families on effective behavior management strategies.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral interventions and make necessary adjustments.
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide insights and recommendations regarding behavioral support.
- Supervise and mentor Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other support staff in implementing behavior plans.
- Stay current with research and best practices in applied behavior analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Current BCBA certification.
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with local and state regulations regarding behavior analysis and special education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
