We have a partner school in the Commerce City, Colorado area to find multiple Special Education Teachers (SPED) for the current school year. We are looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate candidate to support our Special Education students!
Requirements:
- Must have a Colorado Special Education License
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, or related field
- Previous classroom experience preferred, but not required
Position Details:
- Current School Year
- Full-Time: up to 40 hours per week, specific days and times will be discussed during the interview process
- Pay Rate: $30 - $45 per hour, depending on previous experience
- Specific details will be discussed and provided during the interview process
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs, establishing attainable and measurable educational objectives.
- Employ diverse teaching strategies and resources to enhance learning and accommodate the varying needs of students.
- Evaluate students' performance and monitor their progress, adjusting educational plans as needed.
- Cultivate a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment that encourages student growth.
- Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other professionals to provide students with comprehensive support.
- Keep detailed records of student progress and modify educational plans when necessary.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on new methods and legislative changes in special education.
