We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Art Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Pennsylvania. As an Art Teacher, you will inspire students to explore their creativity, develop their artistic skills, and appreciate the value of art in both personal expression and broader cultural contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging art lessons for students at [insert grade levels].
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and creative classroom environment.
- Teach various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art.
- Integrate cross-curricular projects that combine art with other subjects such as history and literature.
- Provide constructive feedback on students' artwork and help them improve their technical skills.
- Promote art exhibitions, contests, and other school-related art activities.
- Encourage self-expression, critical thinking, and confidence through art.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, including proper handling of art supplies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the school's arts program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- PA Teaching Certification in Art Education (K-12) preferred, can help qualify for an emergency teaching cert!
- Strong portfolio showcasing artistic skills and teaching experiences.
- Proven ability to work with students of various ages and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for art and education with a commitment to student growth.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to think creatively and critically.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience teaching in a classroom setting.
- Knowledge of current trends in art education, technology, and digital tools for art.
- Experience organizing and managing student art shows or exhibitions.
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies.
Position Details:
- ASAP - June 2025
- Full-Time: up to 40 hours per week
- Specific caseload details will be provided during the interview process
- Pay Range: $30 - $40 per hour, depending on previous experience
