Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Behavior Aides for a full-time role with school districts in the Birmingham, AL area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are passionate about supporting students with behavioral and emotional challenges in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavioral support to students in individual and group settings.
- Assist teachers and staff in implementing behavior intervention plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and interventions.
- Support students in developing coping strategies and positive social skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education teams to enhance student success.
- Help maintain a safe and structured classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some districts may require additional certifications or experience).
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges is preferred.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow behavior intervention plans effectively.
