Behavior Instructional Aide 1:1

BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated Behavior Instructional Aide (BIA) to work with a 3rd grade special needs student in Acton, CA. This full-time position involves supporting a student with severe disabilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of school-based experience, including experience as a 1:1 aide, and will be proficient in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) strategies.

The BIA will assist in implementing behavioral intervention strategies to promote the student’s academic, social, and behavioral success. The position requires the ability to recognize antecedents and apply effective behavior modification techniques, with a focus on supporting the student in a classroom environment.

Caseload/Details:

• Work with a 3rd grade student with severe disabilities
• Implement ABA strategies to support academic and behavioral goals
• Help identify and respond to antecedents in the student’s behavior
• Provide 1:1 support in both academic tasks and social skills development
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to ensure consistency in the student’s program
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)

Special Requirements:

• Must be CPR, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), and First Aid trained
• 2+ years of school experience required (clinical experience alone is not sufficient)
• Experience working as a 1:1 aide in a school setting
• Solid knowledge of ABA strategies and techniques
• Ability to recognize antecedents and implement behavior interventions
• Experience working with students with severe disabilities
• Must be able to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents
