BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a school-based position in Indianapolis, IN. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who have behavioral and developmental needs, making a meaningful impact on their academic and social growth. The selected candidate will work closely with students, providing direct support under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).


Position Details:

  • Location: Indianapolis, IN
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Contract
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: End of the 2024/2025 school year
  • Hours: Full-Time (typically 35-40 hours per week)
  • In-Person: Onsite position

Job Description:

The RBT will provide direct one-on-one or small group behavioral therapy to students with special needs. Working closely under the supervision of a BCBA, responsibilities include:

  • Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students
  • Assisting in the development and modification of individualized learning plans
  • Conducting behavior assessments and data collection as directed by the BCBA
  • Working directly with students to promote positive behavioral and social outcomes
  • Assisting with classroom management and implementing behavior management techniques
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, and making adjustments to interventions as needed
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure the success of the student
  • Collaborating with the BCBA and school team to track and analyze data for continuous progress

Qualifications:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related fields is a plus
  • Previous experience working with children, especially in special education or behavior management settings, is preferred
  • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain patient, flexible, and empathetic when working with students
