Bilingual School Paraprofessional (Full-Time)

School Year: 2024-2025

Blazerworks has partnered with the Lafayette school district to hire a dedicated Bilingual School Paraprofessional for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students, teachers, and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. As a key part of the educational team, you will assist bilingual students in overcoming language barriers and achieving academic success.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to bilingual students in both individual and group settings.
• Assist classroom teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Support students with language development and comprehension in English and their native language.
• Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with educators and school staff to develop and implement strategies that address the needs of bilingual students.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing learning materials and maintaining classroom supplies.

Position Requirements:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (Spanish preferred).
• Previous experience working with children in a school setting is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
