We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the 2024-2025 school year at a vibrant school near Birmingham, AL. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment, assisting students in need of speech-language therapy across a variety of educational settings.
 
Position Overview:

  • Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
  • Location: Birmingham, AL
  • Caseload: K-12 students
  • Start Date: ASAP through May 2025
  • Onsite Role - No travel required
  • Caseload Details: Students with Autism, Multiple Disabilities (including medically fragile), and Adult Living Skills (Intellectual Disabilities and Autism)

 
Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences or related field
    • AL Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License/Certification
    • Current CDE (Continuing Education) Requirements
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students in a school or related setting
  • Preferred:
    • Bilingual skills (English-Spanish) a plus
    • Experience working with students with Autism, multiple disabilities, and/or medically fragile children

 
Job Details:

  • Setting: Onsite at a supportive school environment in Birmingham, AL
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, school hours
