K-12 Onsite Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
2023-2024 School Year
Full-time, onsite, contract

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work with K-12th grade students fully onsite, in the Buffalo Grove, IL area for the 2023-2024 school year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing behavior intervention services and implementing behavior plans in collaboration with the supervising BCBA in a self-contained classroom setting.

Job Duties/Description:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
  • Collect and record data on student behavior and progress towards goals
  • Assist in the development of behavior intervention plans and behavior support plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to provide consistent and effective behavioral support
  • Provide direct behavioral support to students in the classroom, as well as in individual and small group settings
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active & valid RBT certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with special needs students in a school or clinical setting
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based behavior interventions and behavior support strategies
  • Experience with mild to moderate cognitive disabilities
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and priorities

Schedule:

  • Full-time position, 30-37.5 hours per week minimum and maximum guaranteed
  • No overtime required
  • No paid holidays or breaks
