Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for a full time time school-based role in Desoto, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students in need of speech and language services.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and progress.
  • Offer support and training to teachers and parents on how to support students' communication needs.
  • Stay current with the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state license and certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
