Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position in Bremerton, WA. This school-based role is critical in providing specialized therapy services to support the educational needs of students. We are conducting open interviews to find dedicated professionals who meet all local and state regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' functional abilities, strengths, and areas of need.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans (ITPs) in collaboration with educational teams, focusing on enhancing students' ability to participate in school activities.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as per their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), addressing motor, sensory, and cognitive development.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and techniques to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual perception, and self-care abilities.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into classroom and home routines.
  • Monitor and document student progress through regular progress reports and update IEP goals as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to review student progress, contribute to goal setting, and provide expertise on therapeutic strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, assessments, and billing documentation.


  • Valid certification as an Occupational Therapist issued by the state of Washington.
  • Previous experience working with special education students and families, demonstrating a solid understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support families in implementing therapeutic strategies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic educational environment.
