Position Overview: As an SLP in Cincinnati, OH, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality speech and language services to students with diverse needs, helping them achieve their communication goals and succeed academically and socially. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language skills, identifying areas of strength and areas needing improvement
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address students' communication goals and needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, targeting speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and monitor students' progress and adjust intervention plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans
  • Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology, implementing evidence-based interventions and techniques
  • Provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers, offering strategies for promoting speech and language development at home

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Ohio state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing special education services, including IDEA and ADA
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families
  • Dedication to providing high-quality services and advocating for the needs of students with communication disorders
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and individual student needs
