Speech Language Pathologist - Vancleave, MS

Position Overview:
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time role with school districts in the Vancleave, MS area. We seek dedicated professionals passionate about providing exceptional speech and language services to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students with speech and language impairments.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student learning and development.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insights and recommendations based on student performance.
  • Educate and train school staff and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
  • Stay informed about best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Mississippi state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
  • Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding speech-language services in schools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.
