Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff to provide accommodations and modifications for students in the classroom.
- Provide direct instruction in a variety of subjects, addressing both academic and functional skills.
- Monitor student progress through data collection and assessments, adjusting instruction as needed to meet IEP goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that supports social and emotional growth.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Pennsylvania.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and the ability to customize learning plans for individual students.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
