Contract Opportunity: Special Education Teacher Job

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff to provide accommodations and modifications for students in the classroom.
• Provide direct instruction in a variety of subjects, addressing both academic and functional skills.
• Monitor student progress through data collection and assessments, adjusting instruction as needed to meet IEP goals.
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that supports social and emotional growth.
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Pennsylvania.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and the ability to customize learning plans for individual students.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
