Contract Role Available: Special Education Teacher

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time role with school districts in the Union, ME area. We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to making a positive impact on students with diverse learning needs in a supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in a variety of academic areas.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students are receiving the necessary accommodations and support.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, structured learning environment.
• Monitor and document student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed.
• Provide emotional, behavioral, and academic support for students to ensure success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• State certification as a Special Education Teacher (required).
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and manage student behavior.
• A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching.
