Qualifications for the TVI Position:
- Master’s degree in Education for the Visually Impaired (or a related field).
- Active Illinois TVI certification.
- A strong commitment to supporting students with visual impairments, creating an inclusive, accessible, and engaging educational environment.
- Previous experience with K-12 students who have visual impairments is preferred but not required.
Job Responsibilities and Details:
- Full-time position, requiring 37.5 to 40 hours per week for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year.
- Monday through Friday work schedule, offering a consistent and predictable workweek.
- Onsite position at schools within the district, providing direct support and services to students.
- Caseload includes K-12 students, offering a diverse range of experiences and opportunities for professional growth.
- Collaborative work with fellow educators and staff to support the academic and personal success of each student.
