Special Education Teacher - Preschool Self-Contained Classroom - Indianapolis, IN

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join a preschool self-contained classroom in Indianapolis, IN. This is an immediate need, offering the opportunity to work with a moderate caseload of young students and contribute to their developmental growth.

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Discipline: Special Education (SPED)

Dates: ASAP – June 4, 2025

Hours: 35 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 3:45 PM

Caseload/Details:

• Preschool self-contained classroom.
• Developmental focus.
• Moderate caseload.
• Two sections: AM and PM.
• 10 students per section.
• Two classroom aides present.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for preschool students with developmental needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with classroom aides, parents, and other school personnel.
• Monitor and document student progress.
• Implement behavior management strategies.
• Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Compensation:

• Hourly pay range-  $35-$50 per hour. The actual rate will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
