Position: Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist
Location: Kansas City (ON-SITE ONLY)
Duration: ASAP – May 23, 2025
Caseload: K-12, up to 40 students (specific campus and grade levels to be confirmed)
Starting Pay: $35/hour

We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist to support students with hearing impairments. This is your chance to empower young learners and help them thrive in an inclusive educational environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct assessments and diagnose hearing, balance, or related issues.
- Develop and implement individualized strategies to address student needs.
- Fit and manage hearing aids and other assistive technologies.
- Provide counseling to students and families on effective communication techniques, including lip reading and technology use.
- Monitor student progress, document developments, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate students and families on hearing loss prevention and resources.
What You’ll Need:
- A professional degree in audiology or a completed doctoral program with a focus on audiology.
- Successful passage of a Board-approved national exam in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- A passion for working with K-12 students in a school setting.
