Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher – Boulder, CO

Blazer Jobs is partnering with the local school district to hire a full-time, onsite Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for the summer session of the current school year.

Position Details:

  • Location: Boulder, CO (onsite only)
  • Start Date: August 5th
  • End Date: August 29th
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Caseload: 8 students, Pre-K through 8th grade
  • Compensation: Starting at $35/hour
  • Renewal: Based on performance and district needs

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to implement appropriate accommodations.
  • Develop and modify lesson plans to meet individualized student needs.
  • Utilize assistive technology and communication tools effectively.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate student progress records.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and district personnel.

State Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Colorado DHH Teacher certification or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Experience working with Pre-K through 8th grade students preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ASL, auditory-verbal techniques, and assistive technology.

Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.
