Dedicated Paraprofessional for 1:1 Support near Rochester, NH

Location: Strafford, NH (25 minute drive from Rochester, NH)
Position: Paraprofessional (1:1 Support)
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced paraprofessional to provide 1:1 support for a 7th-grade female student in Strafford, just 25 minutes from Rochester. The successful candidate will assist the student with daily activities and ensure she receives the academic and emotional support needed throughout the school day. The role requires experience working with students and a strong ability to assist with a variety of needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 support to a 7th-grade female student.
• Assist with daily academic and non-academic tasks.
• Support student in day-to-day activities, including classroom participation, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure the student’s success.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar role with school-aged children.
• Ability to assist with day-to-day activities and offer personalized support to the student.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Experience working with students with various learning and behavioral needs is a plus.

Hourly Rate: Competitive, TBD based on experience
