Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join a dedicated team in school districts in the Brighton, CO area. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support young learners with diverse needs in their critical early developmental stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of young students with disabilities.
- Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with IEP goals and state standards.
- Monitor and document student progress through assessments, observations, and data collection.
- Collaborate with families, school staff, and related service providers to create a supportive learning environment.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to foster social, emotional, and academic development.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and growth.
- Stay informed of best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements in early childhood special education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education (required).
- Valid Colorado teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education (required).
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting (preferred).
- Strong understanding of child development and early intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- Passing a background check and fingerprint clearance.
