Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges and a commitment to helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • Provide instruction tailored to the unique learning needs and abilities of each student.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social-emotional development.
  • Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and services.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to facilitate growth and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
  • Participate in professional development activities and stay current with best practices in special education and behavior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Kentucky teaching certification in Special Education (EBD endorsement preferred).
  • Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
