Location: Bennington, VT
Start/End Date: Approx. 8/27/2025 – 06/12/2026 (Follows school calendar)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Pay: $48 - $52 an hour
Caseload:
- Elementary school students, with a focus on learners with trauma and autism.
- The BCBA will work with students in both 1:1 and small group settings to provide individualized behavior support and instruction.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate BCBA to work within a school-based setting in Bennington, VT. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged students with autism and trauma-related behaviors. You will play a vital role in providing behavior analytic services and collaborating with the school team to create and implement effective behavior intervention plans for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide direct 1:1 and small group behavior intervention support to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to implement behavior strategies in the classroom and throughout the school day.
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary.
- Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with families to update on student progress and provide support as needed.
Requirements:
- Active BCBA certification (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially with trauma and autism.
- In-person availability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and parents.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Non-Negotiables:
- State licensure as required for BCBA.
- Ability to work in-person with the assigned caseload.
