Full-Time Elementary School Special Education (SPED) Teacher
Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Elementary School Special Education (SPED) Teachers for a full-time role with school districts in the South St. Paul, MN area. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated educator to support students with diverse learning needs and help them succeed in their academic and personal development.
Responsibilities:
As an Elementary School SPED Teacher, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Providing differentiated instruction in both individual and group settings to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate students into the general curriculum.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as necessary to meet IEP goals.
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify students' educational needs and progress.
- Participating in IEP meetings and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure student success.
- Providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
To apply, candidates must meet all Minnesota state and local requirements, including:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Minnesota Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students who have mild to moderate disabilities, including but not limited to autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
- Completion of all required background checks and fingerprinting per district and state regulations.
- Familiarity with IDEA, IEP processes, and special education law.
