State Requirements:
To work as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Indiana, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, an active Indiana SLP license issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA), and ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred. School-based SLPs must also hold an Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) license.

Job Description:

• Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in elementary-aged students.
• Design and implement individualized therapy programs based on student needs.
• Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student learning plans.
• Provide direct speech therapy services in both group and one-on-one settings.
• Maintain detailed records, track progress, and ensure compliance with state and school policies.

Experience and Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Indiana SLP license and IDOE certification.
• ASHA CCC preferred but not required.
• Prior experience working with elementary students is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IEPs and individualized student interventions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
