To work as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Ohio, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, an active Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology license, and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). A valid Ohio Department of Education (ODE) pupil services license is also required.

Job Description:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders in elementary students.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to ensure communication goals align with academic success.
• Provide direct therapy services, including articulation, fluency, and language interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and meet IEP compliance requirements.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and case conferences.

Experience and Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
• Valid Ohio SLP license and ODE pupil services license.
• Experience working with elementary students in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes.
