Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with an elementary special education student to provide individualized support and assistance.
- Collaborate closely with the lead special education teacher to implement educational plans and strategies.
- Support the inclusion and participation of the student in classroom activities.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior interventions as needed.
- Provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where the student can thrive academically and socially.
- Foster a positive and supportive rapport with the student, promoting their overall well-being.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is a plus).
- Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices and principles is a strong advantage.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow the guidance of the lead special education teacher.
