Elementary Special Education (SPED) Teacher
Location: Frederick, MD
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Contract

A local school district in the Frederick area is urgently looking to expand their team by hiring an experienced, passionate, and licensed Special Education (SPED)  teacher to work with their K-5th grade students for the remainder of the current school year.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Active Teacher Certificate with endorsement or specialization in Special Education
• Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs in an inclusion or self-contained classroom setting.
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavior management techniques, and instructional accommodations
• Knowledge of various instructional strategies and methodologies for students with disabilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs

Schedule:

• Fulltime – 30 to 37.5 hours per week minimum and maximum guaranteed, Mon-Fri only
• Scheduled off on holidays and school breaks
