A school in Beach Park, IL is currently interviewing Special Education Teachers to join their team for the 2024-2025 school year. This position involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement individualized learning plans aligned with IEP goals and state standards.
- Provide direct instruction in core subjects and support life skill development.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit students' unique learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for student inclusion.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting methods and interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and outcomes.
- Communicate with parents/guardians about progress, goals, and programming.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development activities.

- School Hours - 8:25 to 4:00
- Contract
- 2024 - 2025 School Year: August 21, 2024 - June 2, 2025
- K-5th Caseload, 8 to 12 students in a Self Contained classroom

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Special Education or related degree
- Active SPED State License
