Elementary Speech-Language Pathologist Positions Near Covina, CA

Job Description: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: At least March 2025
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:50 AM – 2:50 PM (35 hours/week)
• Location: Two elementary schools in California, serving grades TK–2nd
• Caseload: Currently 43 students, with a maximum of 55

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Conduct assessments to determine speech and language needs.
• Write, manage, and hold IEP meetings in compliance with school and state guidelines.
• Utilize SEIS (Special Education Information System) effectively for documentation and communication.

Qualifications:

• Required Certification: California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) authorization as an SLP.
• Experience working with TK–2nd grade students is preferred.
• Strong understanding of speech and language development in young children.

Compensation:

• Starting pay: $45/hour.
