Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Elgin, IL

Job Description: Blazer Jobs, in partnership with schools in Elgin, IL, is seeking a passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, helping them achieve success in their academic and social environments.


  • Conduct evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication skills in the classroom and beyond.
  • Provide guidance and support to families regarding speech and language development.


  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
