Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers specializing in English Language Arts (ELA) for a full-time position with school districts in the Southlake, Texas area. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students in the ELA curriculum.
  • Adapt instructional methods and materials to accommodate different learning needs.
  • Provide direct instruction in reading, writing, and language arts skills.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment using differentiated instruction.
  • Maintain compliance with state and district regulations, including documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all Texas state and local requirements, including:

  • Texas Special Education Certification (EC-12).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience working with ELA curriculum and implementing IEPs.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for English Language Arts.
  • Familiarity with ARD meetings, special education compliance, and legal mandates.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet district-specific compliance requirements.
