Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers specializing in English Language Arts (ELA) for a full-time position with school districts in the Southlake, Texas area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students in the ELA curriculum.
- Adapt instructional methods and materials to accommodate different learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction in reading, writing, and language arts skills.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment using differentiated instruction.
- Maintain compliance with state and district regulations, including documentation and reporting.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all Texas state and local requirements, including:
- Texas Special Education Certification (EC-12).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience working with ELA curriculum and implementing IEPs.
- Strong knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for English Language Arts.
- Familiarity with ARD meetings, special education compliance, and legal mandates.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet district-specific compliance requirements.
