Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Houston, TX area. We are seeking dedicated professionals passionate about helping students succeed through speech therapy services.

Position Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Valid Texas SLP License (or eligibility to obtain before starting).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
  • Familiarity with Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines and IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.
  • Provide speech therapy services in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and progress reports.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions as needed.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech therapy.
