Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans designed to address the specific needs of each student.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with various disabilities, promoting their participation and success in school activities.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school personnel to incorporate therapy goals into students' educational plans and daily routines.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and assessments.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expert advice on student goals and therapy strategies.
• Offer training and resources to school staff and parents to support the continuation of therapy techniques outside of therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

• Must meet all local and state licensure and certification requirements for Occupational Therapy in Florida.
• Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively within a school environment.
