Key Responsibilities:

As a Remote Special Education Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide specialized instruction in all areas outlined in students’ IEPs.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, and emotional development through tailored interventions.
• Monitor student progress, adjust strategies, and maintain accurate documentation of student performance.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff to ensure students receive the support they need.
• Use a variety of online teaching tools and technology platforms to deliver lessons and services remotely.
• Attend IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other educational meetings as required.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Current licensure in Special Education in South Carolina (or the state in which you are applying).
• All local and state certification requirements must be met for the specific district you are applying for.
• Proficiency with technology platforms that support remote teaching and services (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).
• Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel in a virtual environment.
• Ability to foster a positive learning environment remotely and engage students effectively.
• Previous experience in special education is highly preferred.

Compensation:

Compensation is dependent on the district and years of experience in the industry. Pay rates are competitive and reflect your qualifications and expertise.
