Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position with a school district in New Britain, CT. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a passion for helping students improve their communication skills and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy goals as necessary.
- Conduct therapy sessions with students individually or in small groups to enhance their speech and language abilities.
- Provide education and counseling to students and their families about speech and language disorders.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress reports.
Requirements:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Connecticut.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
