Full-Time Job Contract - Special Education Teacher

Job Responsibilities

As a Special Education Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse needs.
• Providing differentiated instruction tailored to each student's abilities and goals.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster student success.
• Assessing student progress and adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
• Managing classroom behavior and promoting a positive learning environment.
• Supporting students in building academic, social, and emotional skills.
• Maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (required).
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification with Special Education endorsement (required).
• Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting as mandated by the school district.
