Full Time Occupational Therapist (OT) Contract Job

Blazer Jobs has teamed up with a school district in Plainfield, IL to search for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist. This role requires a professional who can assist students in improving their motor skills, functional abilities, and overall independence within the academic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students motor skills and functional performance to determine their needs.
• Develop individualized therapeutic interventions in collaboration with educators and other professionals.
• Implement therapy programs for students to enhance their functional abilities and independence in academic and daily life activities.
• Document and evaluate student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Offer recommendations and adaptations for classroom tools and equipment.
• Provide training and support for school staff and parents to help them understand and implement therapeutic recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support.
• Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in the field of occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois.
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of school-based interventions and technologies.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently and effectively.
