Full-Time Paraprofessional Job Opening

Blazer Jobs is seeking full-time Paraprofessionals for positions in Flint, Michigan. These roles involve working one-on-one with students across all grade levels in various settings, including resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, and general education classrooms. You will support students with cognitive and emotional impairments, assisting them with daily activities and providing educational support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with cognitive and emotional impairments.
• Assist with daily activities, including toileting, diapering, and hygiene needs.
• Support students in resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, or mild-moderate general education classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Must meet one of the following educational requirements:
  • Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours); or
  • Obtained an associate's degree (or higher); or
  • Passed the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
• Must provide a copy of college transcripts or ETS certificate prior to being presented to the client.
• Experience working with students with disabilities and behavioral needs is preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Paraprofessionals working in programs supported with Title I funds must meet the educational requirements listed above.
