Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Paraprofessional for a full-time contract position in Schnecksville, PA. The successful candidate will work within a school-based environment, providing support to educators and students. Candidates must meet all local and state regulations for employment in this role. Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students under the direction of a certified teacher.
  2. Assist students with classroom activities, including academic tasks, behavior management, and social integration.
  3. Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  4. Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to develop and implement instructional strategies.
  5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  6. Assist with the supervision of students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times.
  7. Assist students with personal care tasks, as needed.
  8. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  9. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records.
  10. Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required by the school or district.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate s or bachelor s degree preferred
  • Experience working with students in a school or childcare setting
  • Knowledge of and experience with special education students and families preferred
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
