Full Time Paraprofessionals

BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional for a full-time position at a school in Columbia, SC. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting teachers and supporting students in the classroom for the 2024/2025 school year. Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in the classroom by providing individualized support to students with varying needs.
• Help implement educational activities and interventions in line with lesson plans.
• Support students with special education needs and foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support as needed.
• Provide support during non-instructional activities such as recess, lunch, and transitions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure each student’s needs are met.

Details & Requirements:

• Location: Columbia, SC
• Position Type: Full-Time, Contract (40 hours per week)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM daily
• Caseload: Elementary or Middle School students
• Experience: Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree or higher in Education or a related field is a plus.
• Experience working with students, especially those with special education needs, is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting student success.
• Ability to adapt to varying student needs and classroom dynamics.
