Blazerworks, in partnership with the local school district in De Soto, KS, is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As an RN, you will play a crucial role in providing healthcare support and promoting wellness among students. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and support to students, assessing their health needs and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Monitor students with chronic conditions and develop individualized healthcare plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure students' well-being and academic success.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate first aid and emergency care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of student health assessments and treatments.
- Promote health education and preventive measures among students and staff.
- Stay updated on current best practices and guidelines in school nursing through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing school health services.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
