Full Time-School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)- Yreka, CA

We are looking for a dedicated School Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Yreka, CA. This full-time position involves working with a K-12 caseload to support students with diverse needs and help them achieve their functional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities, including assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the educational development and overall well-being of students.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding the implementation of strategies to improve students' motor, sensory, and adaptive skills.
• Document and maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and evaluations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings to contribute to the development of goals and objectives for students.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California.
• Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy practices, particularly in the school setting, and experience with a range of disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
