Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements to apply:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Licensing: Valid Wisconsin state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certifications: ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Background Check: Must pass a local and state background check.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.

Responsibilities:

As a Speech Language Pathologist in this role, your duties will include:

  • Conducting assessments to evaluate speech and language skills of students.
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to address students' speech and language goals.
  • Providing speech therapy services in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ needs.
  • Documenting progress and adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Assisting in the development of IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and attending IEP meetings.
  • Promoting speech and language development across the curriculum and throughout the school environment.
  • Maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
