Full-Time School Occupational Therapist (OT) – Anchorage, AK
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time position with school districts in the Anchorage, AK area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all state and local requirements to provide high-quality services to students.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Possess an active Alaska OT license issued by the Alaska Board of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy
- Hold an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Have experience working as a licensed Occupational Therapist in a school or pediatric setting
- Must meet all local and state requirements, including background checks and any additional district-specific clearances
Responsibilities
As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, your duties may include:
- Conducting evaluations to assess students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and functional abilities
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to support students' educational goals
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments
- Providing direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and state guidelines
- Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and communicating updates with the educational team
- Ensuring compliance with state and district regulations for school-based therapy services
