Full-Time School Occupational Therapist (OT) - Tacoma, WA ($45-48 hr)

Blazerworks is proud to partner with a school district in Tacoma, WA, to recruit a passionate and skilled School Occupational Therapist (OT) for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to help students achieve their full potential in a supportive educational environment.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: School Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Location: Tacoma, WA
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • School Year: 2024-2025
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard school hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students' needs to develop individualized therapy plans
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with varying needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for students
  • Promote students' independence in school activities and daily life skills

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current WA state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations
